Course overview

The Computer Science programme meets demands from the business sector for improved theoretical knowledge and a broad profile within IT. Thus, the Computer Science programme offers a wide range of applications within IT.

The Computer Science programme opens the way for exiting job perspectives, and at the same time the programme can be used as a springboard to further education and training.

The Computer Science is a practice-oriented, full-time educational programme lasting 2 years and 6 months. It is divided into five semesters consisting of a combination of IT-disciplines and a number of commercial subjects, e.g. business organisation, economics, production management and environmental conditions in the industry.

The first four semesters are subject oriented and in the fifth semester the main thesis is elaborated in close co-operation with a company in Denmark or abroad.

After completion of the Computer Science the students are qualified to work with topical computer issues and will therefore be able to develop, update and maintain software and IT systems or continue on a bachelor top up programme, please consult the menu to the left for further information on the bachelor top up programmes.

Career opportunities

The programme enables the graduates to hold a broad variety of jobs related to information technology; it is your own decision whether you want to work with design or programming of systems, to provide consultancy to the users, to be responsible for the daily operation and administration of the networks, system installations, quality assurance, analysis or planning of future systems. However, the programme provides you with a highly flexible educational background enabling you to keep pace with the development of the sector.
