A secondary school education completed by July 2011 or earlier.
State examination results in Mathematics and English

Applicants who are residents of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania and who completed their secondary education prior to 2009, and for applicants who completed their secondary education in a country other than Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, do not have to have state examination results in Mathematics and English to be eligible to apply. In addition to the online application form, applicants in this group have to submit a certified copy of the secondary education grade transcript. Applicants in this group will be considered on a case by case basis

The state examination results are mandatory only for candidates for from Baltics. For other candidates it is enough if they have equivalent grade of 7 in 10 point scale in their grade transcript.

On-line application forms will be reviewed, and applicants who have fulfilled the eligibility criteria will be invited for the SSE Riga Admissions Test that consists of the following: Logical aptitude tests, English language tests, and mathematics.

Course overview

The Bachelor of Science programme is designed to provide undergraduates with a broad background in economics and business. The range of subjects accommodates the mathematically-inclinedstudents, students interested in finance or accountancy or students wishing to pursue a career in business. The study programme involves five main components: core courses, specialization courses, elective courses, internship and the bachelor thesis. All courses run as modules with one or maximum two modules at a time.

Admitting just 120 top undergraduates a year through a rigid three-step admission process, SSE Riga provides an elite learning environment that has a recognised reputation for teaching, learning and applied research. Being a small school with close to 400 students, it takes just a few months to get to know each other through project work, studying together, assisting each other and socializing. The intensive curriculum and a strong international undergraduate group create a vibrant and intellectually challenging study environment at SSE Riga

Career opportunities

The Bachelor of Science degree at SSE Riga gives students the skills and techniques students need in the workplace after graduation.

bout one fourth of our recent graduates have found employment in accountancy, auditing and banking. During the last five years there is a growing interest in IT and marketing related jobs as well as positions in public institutions. A number of students start their own companies while being at school, and it is possible within the Business Development Laboratory that is a structural unit at SSE Riga created to support student entrepreneurship. A few students undertake further study for a Master’s degree right after graduation, but the majority would prefer working for a few years and then pursuing graduate studies.
