Course overview

Effective and efficient logistics is one of the most competitive tools in today’s business. It is also becoming one of the primary routes for development in the public sector, not the least in health care. Logistics competences are therefore asked after in many parts of society.

The programme is designed for future work with logistics and value chains up to and including the strategic level of companies and other organisations. It is also preparatory for research.

Aim
Through studies of all activities influencing the total value chain from a logistical perspective, you will be able to plan, develop and manage all major phases of the supply chain, such as supply, productions and distribution. You will be trained to analyse and solve complex and reality based problems in internal and external logistics in order to function well in professions up to and including the strategic level in a company.

An important part of the programme concerns new techniques and new methods within information and communication technology, which are important entry requirements for efficiency and effectiveness in value chains. Upon completion of the programme you will be able to choose suitable methods for modelling and solving logistical problems. You will study the interchange with product development, design, marketing and information technology. You will be able to apply modern principles and methods for the design of value chains aimed to satisfy end customers needs and desires. You will specialise on value chains including internal as well as external issues.
