In line with the Teaching and Examination Regulations, students who have not obtained a Flemish degree will need to pay an application fee of 50 euro for each application. The university makes NO exceptions for scholarship students or for students who meet the programme’s academic requirements.
Enrolled students will pay the tuition fee minus the application fee of their specific programme. This means that if you enrol after a positive application, the tuition fee will be reduced with the application fee. Paying multiple application fees will not automatically reduce your tuition fee.
Please note that additional costs for the bank transfer are the sole responsibility of the applicant.
The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English.
Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.
If your documents are not in English, French or Dutch they have to be officially tranlsated (by a sworn translator) into one of these 3 languages
It is required that you send verified copies of the entry qualification documents directly to the university by postal mail. Important! Never send original documents by post!

The postgraduate programme in International Business Arbitration provides all its students, whether experienced legal professionals or otherwise, with a strong grounding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of International Arbitration within a commercial context. Students will be taught on all major institutional and ad hoc arbitration rules thus preparing them thoroughly for a practice specializing in International Arbitration by participation of some of the most esteemed academics and practitioners in the field. This intellectually challenging programme will focus on all the different dimensions of International Arbitration through a comparative study. It will enable students to critically consider present arbitration practices and make novel propositions for change.
Upon completion of the program the student will receive a post-academic certificate, bearing the name of the postgraduate course and signed by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, will be granted by the Brussels Institute of Contemporary China Studies, after successfully finishing the complete programme.
