Course overview
The Marketing Management programme is a 2-year higher education programme taught in English, which qualifies for jobs within marketing, sales and communication. The programme gives you direct qualifications and access to employment in the private business sector.
The programme is practice-oriented and internationally oriented with emphasis on international marketing. It consists of a joint programme, compulsory for all students, and a special lines programme where, through your choice of line, you can specialise in economics, sales or communication.
During the first 3 semesters (1½ years) you form a broad professional basis for the main project specialisation in the 4th and last semester. The first 3 semesters will take place at Business Academy Aarhus and each semester has its own overall theme. The 4th and last semester may be spent in a company in Denmark or abroad.
The teaching is based partly on dialogue-based class teaching, partly on project-oriented teaching, including individual sparring with teachers during the entire course. Teaching contents and methods have close ties to the business sector, and a number of projects are prepared together with or for external assignment providers.
Career opportunities
The Marketing Management programme gives you a variety of career options. Typically the first step will be employment as marketing assistant/marketing coordinator, sales assistant, purchasing assistant, public relations officer or export sales representative. Furthermore, the programme is the basis for a career as e.g. product manager, marketing manager, sales manager, area sales manager, purchasing manager, exports manager, public relations manager or project manager.
The programme is also a good basis for starting your own business, if this is part of your plans, or if you wish to be involved in innovation and development of new products and concepts.
