WE ARE TOP IN THE UK FOR STUDENT SATISFACTION
In the National Student Survey 2011, Electronic & Electrical
Engineering at the University of Glamorgan achieved a fantastic *97%
overall satisfaction* rating.
This puts us as number one in the whole UK for student
satisfaction, according to the website Unistats.com.
Students were surveyed on 22 questions, including ‘Teaching on my
Course’, ‘Assessment & Feedback’, ‘Academic Support’ and
overall satisfaction as part of the annual National Student Survey.
These well-established electrical engineering degrees give you a
thorough grounding in all aspects of electrical and electronic
engineering. We consulted with industry professionals to construct
these courses, so you will gain knowledge and skills that meet
industry standards.
You will gain a detailed understanding of electronics techniques and
their applications. There is a combination of hardware and software
subject areas, as well as mathematics and engineering applications.
There are plenty of chances for hands-on experience, which includes
making a PC. You will study in engineering laboratories in a new,
purpose-built facility. These include two electronics laboratories, a
communication laboratory, a computer-aided design suite and a
mechatronics, machines and control engineering laboratory sponsored by
FESTO.
There is a HND route (006H) available for this course.

97% of our Electrical and Electronic Engineering graduates are
employed or in further study 6 months after graduation. (HESA
Performance Indicators 2009/10)
Possible Career Options
On graduation, there will be many career opportunities open to you.
You may pursue a career in electrical engineering, communications or
control systems and embedded systems. You could also work with
electronics and computers. Graduates have gained employment with a
range of local and national companies, including General Electric
Aircraft Engine Services, Quantum CAD, Panasonic, Aviza Technology,
Allevard Springs, Swansea City Council, Corus and the Ministry of
Defence. Students have completed placements with a range of companies
including Bosch and Intel Corporation UK Ltd.
